WHY YOUTH MATTER

DRUG USE

Youth in the juvenile justice system are more likely to have mental health disorders than their peers. Substance use disorder is the most common mental health challenge, affecting 76% of youth, followed by high anxiety (33%), ADHD (14%), depression (12%), and posttraumatic stress disorder (12%).
DELINQUENCY
